No. Studio works on its own to enhance bottle photos. A connected Shopify store is only needed for the Commerce pipeline, which researches the wine, fills the metafields, and publishes the draft.
Credits are the unit of usage. A bottle costs 10 credits, whether that is a Studio enhancement or a full Commerce product. Credits never expire, there is no subscription, and you can top up with no minimum.
Yes. Every new account gets 20 free credits, enough to enhance two bottles, with no credit card required.
